Slain Lincoln Hills Youth Counselor Honored For Leaving Lifesaving Gift
On Friday June 28, more than 200 people including family, friends and complete strangers showed up at Wausau Aspirus Hospital to honor Corey Proulx, the Lincoln Hills Youth Counselor who was slain in a vicious attack at Lincoln Hills on Monday June 24. The crowd gathered there to say thank you to Corey for his parting gift left to help in saving the lives of many in the future. Proulx was an organ donor, a selfless act where an individual makes the decision to leave their vital organs to be used in saving the lives of others in need.
Anyone interested in becoming an organ donor can visit the website Donate Life Wisconsin, or you can also register at the DMV when receiving or renewing your driver’s license. There is no age cap to becoming a donor.
